Good food. Great price!!!!! Open 24 hours - we go there for Sunday brunch and sometimes after bar close for a late night snack. The breakfast food is very good.

You might as well read Rachel F's review, as it pretty much nails it on the head. The demographic here is composed almost entirely of soon-to-be-chain-smoking high-schoolers with non-conformist attitudes (of which Rachel F is a prime example) and hopeless senior citizens. I can't emphasize the latter enough. Seriously. One time I went here with some friends for "brinner" (a play on words that essentially translates to 'breakfast for dinner') and there was some guy older than Larry King eating what I'm assuming was a gyro at 2AM. From a viewpoint that stereotypes old people, this didn't make any sense. Anyways, to give an actual review, the place is not bad. I gave it 5/5 stars because it's in Menomonee Falls, but if it was the real world It'd probably be a solid 3. It's staffed pretty much entirely by friendly middle-to-late-aged women and of course the without-words hispanics, the latter of which mainly tend to cooking and bussing tables. Nothing to complain about here, pretty much what you would expect from a midwest diner. I honestly can't tell you much about their menu, I only ever get breakfast here, but damn is it good. The virginia skillet is a favorite of mine, but at $8 for something that cost probably $3 to make it sure does set me back a few -- but I'm a broke college student so I always complain about this stuff. Anyways, breakfast is phenomenal. If you're unsure of what to get, pull a Ron Swanson and do it up right with eggs, bacon, and hash browns. They even have oatmeal if you're into that sort of thing (this probably ties back to the senior demographic). I only strayed from breakfast once to get fried shrimp. That was a terrible mistake. It had clearly come from the deepest bowls of the freezer and probably hadn't seen the light of day since 1992. But like I said, it's the midwest, I should be ashamed for thinking seafood here -- or anywhere -- would be remotely tasteful. I've kind of run out things to talk about. One last thing I will mention is that coffee here flows like no other. Honestly if you're looking for the homey, diner experience, this place is perfect -- not the best place it town by any means, but at least you won't be eating at one our 80 different fast food restaurants.

Great food and fast service...usually!! Old folks love it there...it is cheap, and you get A LOT of food for your $!!! It is my in-laws favorite dinner to go when they come to visit! They also have the old school look on the inside...pretty cool!!!

This is your typical neighborhood restaurant...standard breakfast options. Breakfast for two, plus a toddler, and drinks included came out to be ~$27. Not too shabby for a full breakfast, and leftovers. Went on a Sunday morning, and was seated very quickly. Our waitress was OK...not overly friendly, but did her job. Another waitress was very friendly and stopped by our table to say hello to our toddler and say good morning to us. I'd definitely come back for a quick weekend breakfast. Seated fast, served fast. One thing that was off-putting was the cashier or manager calling out the waitresses names every few seconds to let them know their orders were ready. This was VERY loud and distracting from breakfast. Your customers do not need to hear "SUEEE" or "MARRRIA" screamed over the mic every few minutes. You should definitely consider changing this for a better experience for your customers.

Always looking for breakfast places and today was the odyssey restaurant. It looks like just another Greek place inside and out. At 1/4 to 7 am there was people in the place so this must be the am spot in the falls. I was seated right away and given water and a menu to look over. The interior was the generic Greek type with liquor bottles sitting on hanging shelfs to say buy a drink. The menu is the usual Greek offerings but one thing caught my eye. The two eggs and sausage patties with the disclaimer of jimmy dean sausage was going to be my breakfast, see the pictures. The two eggs sunny side up were perfect. The toast was generic wheat. The hash browns were under cooked and could have been a little crispy for my liking. The sausage patties were tasty and juicy, not the tasteless paper thin that some places are serving. Overall the food and service was solid for my breakfast and I have nothing really to complain about. Judging by the amount of people of all ages at the early hour for this place people must feel the same. At $8 for my breakfast with good sausage I would definitely come back.

This used to be a great place to have breakfast but in the past few years it has really gone down hill. The service is mostly alright but the food is below average. I live in the Falls but I would never eat here again.

Enter The Falls..... it's a land of it's own. You aren't in Kansas anymore, but there are places we go to for pet food and other various deals. Enter Odyssey.... lots of people waiting, but I'll admit. I'm a runner, if five other cars come in at the same time, I will indeed run to avoid the wait. Waiting for our table, there were just a lot of awkward regulars standing like they didn't expect a wait. Kind of like in your space, back off and realize waiting is part of life. The food and service were fine. Our party ordered omelettes, which were good.

The Odyssey is dependable... in the sense that it never closes and there's always coffee. They have an impressively huge menu, although I rarely stray beyond breakfast and tuna croissant sandwiches, so I can't comment on the quality of more exotic fare. What I love most about the Odyssey is that it really is kind of designed for the old people who've lived in Menomonee Falls for decades and decades. There are lots of oversized floral patterns and overstuffed booths. The paintings on the windows are changed every few weeks. Entrees come with bread (extra crumbly), a soup/salad (chicken dumpling offered daily), and a dessert (and they provide, like, ten options, including tapioca pudding). Basically, it has the ambiance of a supper club with the convenience of an all-night diner. Brunches are busy. For everyone's sake, please remember that you do not go to the Odyssey to complain about the service (the staff is always polite) or the food; it gives the place bad juju, which is simply inexcusable for this suburban rock.

Gross food served cold. The cheese in my omelet had re-congealed and the avocado was brown. Vomit. I will NOT be going back. EVER.

My 100th review has to be for someplace special. So with that in mind, I commence to review my high school haunt, the establishment that contributed greatly to my growth as a human being, the (incomparable) Odyssey Family Restaurant. Typical Greek-style family restaurant, except exceptional. Pancakes to eggs to Gyros and whatever you could possibly want, they have it. Pie in the pie thing with the clear top for display purposes. Diner counter. Smoking section, back when. My go-to of choice was always a plain grilled cheese with fries after a night of underage drinking, or when eating before the whole "I'm 16 and need to assert my independence by hanging in the Odyssey parking lot" thing was going on. We were mindful loiterers. Coffee. So much black water coffee, all day and all night. With Malboro Menthol lights of course, because clearly I was super cool. The coffee always kept coming, the servers were always timely and sincere and nice, even if I was angsty or messed up or going through another of those "high school moments." Honestly, classic is true... just like Andy B said. There are so so many restaurants like this in the MKE metro area, but I know it's not just the fond memories talkin'... Odyssey is the proverbial jam. They're on their game. And I've tried others... it's still true. I totally grew up here. I was having life-altering, 17-year old existential conversation that was obviously mind-blowing. I was skipping art class. I was smoking and being way cool. I was in love with the Odyssey then, and even though I no longer live in Menomonee Falls, I still am.

The concept seemed lovely and the décor was comfortable and pretty for a diner-large menu, fair prices, quick service. We came for breakfast while visiting and found all the usual breakfast items, however the California Omelet with home potatoes was seriously devoid of any type seasoning, and both were extremely bland. Tried to perk up the potatoes with ketchup, but just seemed like so much of what WI food is-seriously heavy and light on the seasoning. Ate breakfast another day at Agora Café and enjoyed it 100% more, so will pass on Odyssey for the future.

Always good service, decent prices. The waitstaff is always nice and pleasant. I always get the samething everytime I go, my husband always tried something different but has always enjoyed everything he's gotten. It's your typical Greek-style place though, same types of menus. If you've been to one you've been to them all, what matters most is the people serving the food!

Why does this only have one review?? Such a classic Greek diner! They have all your diner favorites, they are open 24 hours, their service is quick and they'll probably call you dear when they give it to you. On the weekend many times they'll have musicians walk around the restaurant and play requests. This is a go-to spot.
